Sherrie Sherrie avec des yeaux d'ambre

This is Sherrie

She is our rescue cat.
The name came with her.
She is 9 years old.
We have had her for one happy year so far.

She had been left behind by her previous owners....
They moved to Spain and left her to fend for herself!

Apparently she was very thin and matted when they found her...
a lovely neighbour phoned the cats protecton people they rescued her.
They cut out all the matting in her fur, cleaned and fed her,
They posted a picture on my local areas website.
I visited her, she licked my hand

I took her home with me.

She is big and fluffy, she eats a whole bowl in one go, she sleeps a lot and doesnt go out much unless its warm,
She didn't play or purr very much when we first got her but now she does....
She is very funny, she bosses the dog and scares him to death!
She has very sharp ...

We love her to bits...

Ae you a cat or a dog person?
I love them all...even spiders!
Bestest to you

PS she's not fat she's fluffy!?

  1. I'm biased....Of course l am...
Love Pussy-Cats...Bestest ever creature, on the planet...Without question..
When God put it together...He created a creature,
that has everything. The head, ears, face, body, legs, and tail....! :).
    And, of course it's character...!

My daughter has two Staffy's and three cats....
And, the Staffy's are at the bottom of the pecking order...Very much so.
I don't dislike dogs, l would never have one,
and, though like most animals, they certainly take to me....But...I'm Puddy-Tat person through and through....
    And Remember....
    "Dogs have owners...Cats have staff".

Bestest post yet Miss Daisy...Love it....
    And of course the photos...Lovely..x
Oh! And, l love spiders to..I have several living in my home...One in the front room...Three inches across...A very BIG lady...! She's lovely....! :>).

Your cats is so cute and if you don't know such 3 colors cats are considered to be lucky one's. So I wish ur cat will bring u luck and a lot of joy:)
Lovely pictures as well;) btw my cat is really fat too, and vet says it's really bad if cat has overweight, we shouldn't fed themso much, in oder to make them healthier:)

    1. Hi Alexandra,
Thank you for your caring message,
We do restrict her diet believe it or not? but rescue cats are known for loving their food.
As she is a really fluffy long haired cat, I think she may look fatter then she actually is?
      best wishes

I couldn't imagine a world with out pets, in fact I would go as far as to say they are my world!~ Don't you think rescue kitties make the most loving pets too...They know where their bread and butter comes from and really appreciate!I love Spiders too, Miss Daisy, ever since my favourite child hood book that I read in primary years, " Charlotte's Web".....Before writing this I hasten to add I cleaned TWO hair balls and TWO litter trays...HEY it must be love!! Have a fun day...

    1. Oh indeed rescue cats are special!
We lost 3 cats in almost as many years due to road accidents...very sad.
So we decided on an older cat that is more 'street wise'
She is extremely wise: goes out to pee and is straight back in to sleep the day away....

  4. Well, I have to admit that I'm a dog person. My mother-in-law's cat used to terrorise me whenever I visited their house!!! BUT, your Sherri is gorgeous!!!

  5. oh, what a heartwarming story ♥
How awful the previous owners just left her to fend for herself! Cruel.
I'm so glad she found a forever home with you, Daisy. Thankful for caring people like you! Sammy is about the same age - also rescued. He was mistreated by previous owners.
    I would say I'm....an animal person :)
Thank you so much for sharing this touching story.
((hugs)) from me and purrs from Sammy, Molly and Leo =^..^=

  16. Sherrie is a beautiful furry feline! I would agree that she's quite fluffy (well, until the last photo!!) :D I'm more of a dog person since I walk a great deal and like to have the company of a dog with me. The dog would never say "let's go back now" like people do when they walk with me ... so irritating. I think cats might say that too?! Wendy

  17. what a real beauty and she has settled in so well with your dog. I am a cat lover, unfortunately they make me sneeze but what is a sneeze between friends!

  18. Cats for me any day! I'm a bit of a woos around dogs ever since a dalmation whipped an ice lolly out of my hand when I was 2.
I have my own big fluff bag who is 17. Finally, after years of being told she needs to lose weight, the vet now remarks that she's a good weight for a cat of her age with kidney disease.
Your girl looks lovely. Do you get clouds of fur congregating in corners like we do?

  19. Aah she's soooo lovely! I've always been a cat person but now have a dog who is really quite delightful though as he's a puppy he likes a lot of love and playtime. I hope to have another cat one day though - they are rather less demanding of attention - I think I respect them for their aloofness! Rachel (trying to catch up on my favourite blogs in between bouts of vile winter germs!) xx
